Yesterday they finished the stone on our house and just have the back porch fireplace to complete. They also started the sheet rock. They had all the boys rooms, 1/2 the game room and were working on the living room and the bathrooms. They should complete sheet rock today and start to tape and bed tomorrow. I am beyond excited and feel truly blessed that we get to call this our home!
But he couldn't blow this house down ;) we have brick! They started to brick on Wednesday and they've been working around the clock everyday! We are very thankful for the work they've been doing, it doesn't look easy. The brick is so beautiful, never thought I'd be in love with brick but I am!
We've run into a slight snag on our stone :( it's been on order for over 2 weeks and its still
In Arkansas! For whatever reason they can't get a driver to bring it down. So we are off tomorrow to meet with our builder and hunt down some new stone--we need it ASAP! We are also going to the granite place to pick out our slab--so cool to be doing this!
They also started spraying the foam insulation today, they will scrap the excess tomorrow and then should be ready to sheetrock Wednesday or Thursday.
We got the tile picked out, carpet picked(I think), doors ordered and beautiful cabinets are in production. So thankful that our talented brother-in-law is handling those, they are going to look amazing!
Can't wait to see what transforms on the next week!
In just one week, they've completed the framing, installed the windows, ran the plumbing, completed the eves and started in the decking!
Hard to believe my sweet angel is 9 months! He's such a big boy, from where he began at least. He's all over the place; crawling, pulling up, moving things around. He can't sit up unassisted yet but mainly bc he's too busy crawling around. We go tomorrow to his 9 month baby visit so we will know more on his weight and anemia.
He's still breastfed and I actually tried to introduce formula at night to see if that will help with some sleep issues we are having but he absolutely hated it :( hopefully he will get use to it.
He is scary smart and I think is very advanced compared to the other 2 boys at 9 months!
The framing is almost complete on our house and they started putting the outside thermo ply stuff up. We lost 1/2 a day today due to rain but did meet with our builder to finalize some electrical detailing and go over the next couple of weeks.
He has the decking on roof scheduled for Friday & Saturday and then the roof will go on Monday. We should be ready for bricking in a week, we need to get our well installed ASAP. I'm hoping they get the permit for that this week as well.
We finally got the culvert installed by the county that we had been waiting in for 3 weeks, thank goodness the workers built a temp. drive or else we wouldn't even have foundation until it was installed!
This process is very exciting! We feel very blessed to be able to go through this.
