Almost summer

Its so close I can taste it!! 1 1/2 more days with students 3 days until I'm done!! I cannot wait. Ohhhh laaaaa laaaa this summer is going to be the best.

Little update on the family:
Brandon and Brody have been staying home together last week and this week, it's awesome. I love the fact that I don't have to pack Brody and his million things in the morning. I also don't have to wake him either and he is proving to be just like his momma...not getting up until 9:30 or 10! It's awesome. He definitely loves his daddy and talks up a storm with Brandon.

Brandon doesn't have Alpha Thalassemia trait! So we don't have to worry about future children.

Momma is doing good as well. Wrapping up the school year is always hectic. I'm VERY frustrated with my weight. The last 8 pounds WILL NOT COME OFF. I'm not sure if its my thyroid again or what. What is so frustrating is that I don't diet and I stay the same weight...I diet AND I STAY THE SAME WEIGHT...how is that possible. I can eat ice cream everynight and McDonald's breakfast on the weekends and I weigh the same. I cut that stuff out and walk and I weigh the same, huh? That makes no sense what so ever. I'm wondering if, while dieting, I'm not consuming enough calories. I don't know!

Nursing is going well, except for the fact that I'm about to throw my pump out! It's pissing me off something fierce. Miss righty thinks its funny to leak out the bottom while pumping and makes a big ole mess! I'm not sure if my shield is too small or too big? Anyone know? It just started about a week ago and Miss Lefty doesn't do it...ummmmmm?

I'm getting braces(Lord help me). I had braces 7 years ago and just didn't wear my retainer the way I should have. They aren't terrible but it's getting to the point where I don't want to smile in pictures...so I figured it was time to get these bad boys straightened out. I got the spacer in today and go back on the 16th to get the braces on...I'll be brace face for about 10-12 months.

I also got a call from Dr. B and I'm having to go to a hematologist(blood specialist). I'm not sure exactly why she is sending me, her nurse just said she wants further testing done on my clotting factors and to make sure there is nothing else out there that I may or may not have. I don't know if I mentioned this before but the Alpha Thalassemia trait is very UNCOMMON amongst white people. It's usually found in black or Mediterrian decent. SO, she wants to look future to see what's going on with my weird blood chemistry and to make sure we take the appropriate steps for next pregnancy. I'm pretty nervous about this, I don't know if y'all have noticed but everytime my blood gets tested, something messed up comes back on it!

Brody is getting huge! I look at his newborn clothes and I'm like, how did he ever fit into those? He is grabbing at toys now, can roll over from belly to back and is almost rolling over from back to belly. He's getting better head control, he is still a bobble head but definitely getting better and he loves sitting up to look around. He just recently starting watching tv and only watches baseball(wonder where he got that from)

If y'all could please say a prayer that Brandon gets a job this year! They are starting to interview for positions for next school year and I'm really hoping he gets something.

Til next time,
LeAnn

That boy is cute!

and....after i stopped nursing glory i dropped 10 pounds JUST LIKE THAT! So nursing could be the reason that you aren't dropping that last 8.

Ummmm...you forgot to mention that Brody really loves his Aunt Marcy. He smiles EVERYtime he sees me. And he loves for me to feed him a bottle. He just takes his sweet time so we get more time together!

Yay for school almost being done! I'm so jealous! :) I love the great Brody pictures. If I didn't know better, I'd swear i was looking at pictures of my B. :) Hooray for Brandon not having the trait too, that's awesome! Happy summer!

Good luck with the braces, they're not the greatest things in the world. I hope to get mine off at the end of the summer, before I take my driver's permit/license picture! :)
Love you!

I couldn't believe we missed each other yesterday either. I heard someone talking about Brody before the walk and asked if you guys were there, but didn't see you. I asked Sam again after the walk, and you guys had already gone :(
We will have to all get together again soon for a play date.

WOOHOO for summer! I am jealous! I am glad to hear that Brandon does not have Alpha Thalassemia trait. I am sure you had a big sigh of relief when you got the results.

Try not to get too frustrated about the last 8 pounds. It still hasn't been that long. From what I have heard from other moms, the last few pounds do not melt away nearly as fast.

I'm not sure what is going on with your pump... good luck figuring it out. I hope Brandon will secure a job quickly!

And don't feel bad about your braces, I need to have mine redone again, but have been putting it off.

Brody is a cutie! I hope to meet him in person soon!
