33 weeks

Jaxson's 33 week development:
This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead. These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

It's hard to believe this little guy is 17 inches long! He's definitely a boney little man always poking my sides. So far I've been able to feel his elbows and feet. I'm so thankful we made it another week! One more week until the big goal of 34weeks! At that point Jaxson's lungs are well developed and he will just spend the remaining time fattening up. I go to the doctor tomorrow for a growth ultrasound, check Jaxson's fluid levels and make sure his heart is still good from the motrin I had in the hospital 2 weeks ago.

My contractions have been great this week and we haven't had to make any adjustments to my medicine. Bed rest is going. It's hard but having Brody makes a HUGE difference. His hugs, kisses and loving make it impossible for me to get depressed or sad that I'm doing nothing but laying around. I just hope he doesn't think he has a big lump of a log for a mom. I am able to get down on the ground and play with him so I think he appreciates that :)

I will update tomorrow after my appointment

Glad to hear your contractions have been under control this week. Maybe you'll make it to full term despite the contractions again!

Bed rest is boring, but at least you get to spend your day with your little man :) I know you are happy to have this extra time with just Brody!

I hope all will look perfect with Jaxon tomorrow, and I hope this next week will go as well for you!
