Every morning on the first day of school my dad would come into my room singing this to wake me up and sure enough I got the phone call at 6 am on Tuesday morning with him singing this! I love that man!
Well, I’m back in the saddle and must say I feel exhausted and like I ran a marathon all day! The first day with students (Tuesday) was CRAZY!! This year we have 5 lunches, passing periods with all students in the halls and a million to many students per teacher!! I felt like I was spinning all day long BUT I did get to know all the names in two of my classes (remind you I have 150 students) and got all procedures laid down for my class so I felt somewhat productive. I LOVE seeing my kids from last year and even love that they come to me for some help, whether it’s to open their locker or direct them to their new classrooms. And of course it wouldn’t be middle school without a first day fight…yup that’s right there was a fight right next door to my classroom during one of the passing periods. Of course yours truly didn’t do a thing about it…I’m pregnant remember! And I knew the other 3 teachers had it covered!
I love my students! And my schedule. I teach 2 classes then have a break, teach two classes then lunch and come back for 2 more and have last period off. It’s awesome because two class periods is all my bladder can handle at this point. I’m on the 8th grade hall this year and have the biggest classroom on campus. It’s greatness, as a Science teacher I need all the space and electrical outlets I can get and I was in the dungeon last year so I love every second of my new room.
I think this is going to be a great year with a great group of kiddos.
I forgot to mention last post that I got my Factor II and MTHFR back and they were negative and in proper range that this is great news! Means all the testing is done on me and only thing I have to worry about it the Factor V. I go to the specialist on Sept. 5th, I will know more then.

OK, LeAnn Poppy's feelings are hurt because he had to find out the good news about your blood work thru me from your blog. He said 'she knows I don't read the blogs'. You may have to call him! I am so glad that 'Baby Emma' is doing great. I plan to work on my smocking tomorrow and try to finish the white dress and bonnet. Emma will be the most precious dressed baby girl in the world. Love you.
Glad your other tests came back negative, and it sounds like you are in good hands as far as keeping a close eye on the Factor Five! I am guessing nana wants a girl. =) Roddy's mom does too!! Your first week back is almost over so I can imagine you are ready for this long weekend! Call me if you get bored, Roddy has to work on Monday!! Grow big Baby Emma or Adam!!

Ha!! You think your bladder doesn't hold much now...you won't even make it through one class come January! Though by then, your little angels will be so sufficient that they won't need you so much!
That song story is so funny! Brandon and I were talking at lunch on Friday and I decided it must be a Dad thing. I asked him what Dad sung to him in the mornings and he said it was "Wake up a little Brandon, Wake up". I remember my Daddy always would come in mine and my sister's room singing "Girls, Girls, Girls".
